Privacy policy
How we collect, use and protect your personal data when you contact us or submit an investor enquiry.
Last updated: October 2026
1. Who we are
This website (jezproperty.com and jezproperty.co.uk) is operated by Jeremy Crampin, trading as Jez Property. For the purposes of UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), the data controller is Stay Sussex Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company no. 16403414), registered office 29 Blueprint Apartments, 16 Balham Grove, London SW12 8AU.
If you have any questions about this policy or how your data is used, contact us at jeremy@guildfordstays.com.
2. What information we collect
When you complete our investor enquiry form, email or call us, we may collect:
- your name, email address and phone number;
- the investor category you select (for example, certified high net worth or self-certified sophisticated investor);
- the approximate amount you are interested in, how you heard about us, and anything you include in your message;
- your confirmations that you have read the risk warning and agree to this policy;
- records of our later correspondence with you, including any investor statements you sign.
We do not ask for special category data (such as health information), and we ask that you do not include it in your message.
3. How and why we use your information
| Purpose | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Responding to your enquiry and arranging an introductory call | Legitimate interests (responding to people who contact us) and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract |
| Assessing whether you are eligible to receive information about investment opportunities (for example, as a high net worth or sophisticated investor) | Legal obligation (complying with financial promotion rules) and legitimate interests |
| Sending you project information if you are eligible and have asked to receive it | Legitimate interests and, where required, your consent |
| Keeping records of our dealings with you and handling any legal claims | Legal obligation and legitimate interests |
We will not use your details for unrelated marketing, and we never sell your personal data.
4. Who we share it with
We only share your information where necessary, with:
- our form and email service providers, who process data on our behalf (our enquiry form is handled by Netlify, Inc., our website host);
- our professional advisers, such as solicitors and accountants, if you go on to invest or lend;
- regulators, law enforcement or other authorities where we are legally required to.
5. International transfers
Some of our service providers (including Netlify) may process data outside the UK, for example in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to standard contractual clauses.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don’t proceed: up to 12 months from our last contact, then deleted.
- Investors and lenders: for the length of our relationship and then for 6 years after the final loan or investment ends, to meet legal, tax and record-keeping requirements.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- ask us to delete your data, in certain circumstances;
- ask us to restrict how we use your data, or object to our use of it;
- ask for your data in a portable format, where applicable;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, email jeremy@guildfordstays.com. We will respond within one month, and there is normally no charge.
8. Cookies and website data
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers and your IP address is shared with Google for that purpose. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs for security.
9. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data and limit access to those who need it.
10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, telephone 0303 123 1113.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
